Certified Professional Purchasing Manager (CPPM) Certification
Applicants for Certified Professional Purchasing Manager (CPPM) Certification must already have earned and received the Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) certification or be applying for both programs simultaneously. They also must have either managerial experience or currently be in a managerial position. Once these qualifications are obtained, the balance of the CPPM program is based entirely on the results from an examination. The examination is made up of questions that test knowledge of all major business functions and stress knowledge of management principles and techniques. An online course is required that helps applicants prepare for the CPPM examination. Go to the Classes & Seminars page for more information. A score of at least 70% must be achieved in order to pass the examination. When the examination is successfully passed candidates' files are sent to the Certification Committee for final approval. Upon completion of the program, candidates are awarded the Certified Professional Purchasing Manager (CPPM) designation and receive a plaque indicating the achievement.
