New Online Course Offered on Body Language

The Society has released a new online course called Body Language. This course will give you an insight on how to read the gestures, body positions, and movements that reveal what the other person is feeling and how he or she is reacting. It will help you determine if the person is telling the truth, if the person is sincere, and if the person is hiding their opinion and motives. Being able to properly access a salesperson’s body language is an important skill that every buyer and negotiator should know.

APS Member Count Growing

APS continues to grow internationally. In addition to providing purchasing training and certification through affiliates in China, United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia, the Society has recently made agreements with organizations in Poland and Egypt. These two new affiliates will shortly be releasing their programs, which are based on the purchasing training offered by APS in the U.S. Any organization interested in offering programs based on the Society's training should email to propurch@propurch.com.

Professional Purchasing was first published in the spring of 1972 and is now circulated nationally and internationally monthly by the American Purchasing Society. Members receive Professional Purchasing free as one of the many benefits of belonging to the Society. Each issue contains important purchasing information, tips, and practices.
