Important information on how to take the American Purchasing Society’s online classes and the Society's policies that govern the courses.
 
The four and eight week classes are attended via the Internet. Students are initially contacted by email with instructions on how to take the course that they have registered for. Students may go online at any time day or night from any computer connected to the Internet. Communications with the instructor and fellow students are done by e-mail. Each course is divided into weeks and most participants devote 2 to 4 hours a week to each course. Most materials are included in the price of the course and will be available online while attending classes. When an examination is included with a course, the examination is made available online during the final week of the course and is usually available through to a few days after the course’s scheduled end date. There is a charge for cancellation of a registration order once it has been placed and paid for. If a student needs to reschedule to a later course date or withdraw from a class after it has begun the following charges apply: During first week - $25, during second week - $50, during the third week of class - $100, after third week a student must reregister and pay full amount. If a student needs to reschedule the Society must be contacted immediately; otherwise, the preceeding charges will apply. Once a student transfers no refunds are given. Study guides are nonrefundable.
 
The self-running online courses are attended via the Internet. They require up to two or three continuous hours of attendance. Students are initially contacted by email with instructions on how to take the course that they have registered for. Students may attend the course at any time during the day. This makes the classes more convenient for students. All materials are included in the price of the course and will be available online while attending classes. These courses are nonrefundable.
